Rare Vintage Photo: Karl Lagerfeld

Long before the creation of his instantly recognizable persona (the fingerless gloves, the ever-present sunglasses, the ponytail and the black Dior Homme suits) Karl Lagerfeld was, of course, designing clothes. The year? 1972 - with jet black hair and wearing a printed shirt and tight jeans, Karl is almost unrecognizable - save for that pout. In 1972, Karl was designing for French label Chloé (he began there in 1963, but only designing part of the collection at first) - he created a skirt for the Spring 1973 collection which he named the surprise skirt, commenting: "It seems that wearing these skirts is an extraordinary sensation." In the same year, he also began to work for Fendi.

OnSugar Question of the Day: What Makes You Laugh?

Our son Riley, who is turning two tomorrow, is the person who makes me laugh the most in this entire planet. Every day brings new laughs, new words, and more hugs and kisses. He is my mini-me, my littlest best friend, and I wouldn't trade this boy for any girl in the world. The way he says "Mommy, Mumsie!" and how he imitates "Nemo" cracks me up. He runs around the house wearing my headbands and ballet flats telling me that he sparkles like Mommy's shirt. He is the cutest, squishiest little munchkin in my life and I love my son. He is a true blessing and I don't know what I would do without him. My husband and I are very proud of him.

LL&L Exclusive: 5 Tips to a Natural Glowing Beauty Look as Seen at Chloé

Chloé's Spring/Summer 2012 show was feminine, light and pretty, much like the beauty look that the label chose for the models at the show. Each model looked like they almost weren't wearing any makeup at all - flawless dewy skin, barely-there mascara and glossy peach lips. This look is all about opting for light products and adding a glow with a rosy highlighter. Let your skin shine by keeping foundation to a minimal, while an exfoliation beforehand will make sure your skin looks its best. Take a peek at my 5  tips to a natural glow below.

1. Exfoliate

Your skin has to be in great shape to get that natural glow - exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin cells, dirt and leftover makeup, leaving you with a fresh peachy complexion that will have you on your way to that natural look.

2. Emphasize your eyes

Add some dark mascara to your upper eyelids to make your eyes stand out without looking overly made up.

3. Add some highlighter

A highlighter or skin brightening blush will give skin that dewy glow and make your complexion look radiant instantly - Nars have several products created just for this task - try their famous 'Orgasm' blush.

4. Tan up

Now for the glow part: St Tropez Mousse is one of the best self tanning products there is, leaving skin looking sun-kissed without looking too faux, so this fake bake solution actually gives a natural result.

5. Choose your foundation

Foundation is the most important part - avoid that caked on look by opting for one that is light and luminous. Apply only to the places that need coverage, leaving the rest of your skin free to breathe

Have A Minty Moment This Spring

Fashion is having a minty moment: shades of seafoam and spearmint have washed over models, editors and designers, who've all fully embraced mint colors as part of their off-duty style and as part of their creations. Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele is one such example, who was seen in a full bright minty green ensemble consisting of a chunky knit sweater and matching skinny jeans. Swedish label Acne has created several covetable pieces, all in a mint palette which have popped up on Kanye West, Bryan Boy and several others. The best way to wear it? Mix it with deep tans and nudes for a fresh, modern look, or play it up by pairing the color with other pretty pastels.

OnSugar Question of the Day: Why Should You Win This Contest? What Makes Me Unique?

You would think that this would be the easiest question to answer. However, this question has me totally flustured because there is so much I want to pour into this answer. First, I would just die to win this contest. I am currently blogging and typing on a  macbook. My macbook screen is completely destroyed and I am constantly having to move windows and icons around just to be able to see what I am clicking. The screen is the most expensive part of a Macbook and to have it fixed, according to many Apple employees and customer service, it would cost over $800 (which is way too much money for my family and I to shell out). I have made this computer work to the best of my ability because I crave blogging. I work full time in retail management, I am married and we are full-time parents to our beautiful son, who is turning 2 on Thursday. We are saving every penny paying back my student loans and my husband's college tuition. We work hard to provide our soon with a nice home and everything he needs, but at the end of the month, there aren't luxuries or that much money to put into a computer right now. When my child is asleep, my creative juices flow. There is nothing more that I enjoy than scoping out new designers, viewing runway shows, and finding new trends in fashion. I know more about pop culture and celebrities than I do American History. I can tell you Academy Award winners more than past presidents. I love photography. I am obsessed with photo blogs, inspiration photos, past editorial spreads and more. A brand new computer will help me with photography and to be able to do even more. I have what it takes to write well and to get my point across. "Life" is so important and you have to do what makes you happy. "Love" is something that is so beautiful, that it should never be taken granted. "Lace" is beautiful, feminine, detailed and exquisite- just like my blog. I am a computer nerd and get giddy everytime my follower count goes up. I check my email religiously to see if anyone has "liked" my posts or even commented. I love my blog like another child. My goal in life is to start my own childrenswear and accessories company. I would be starting online, and with a new computer, it would making my dream come true a lot faster. I would be able to be creative and to be able to start it successfully. I have a modern take on vintage wear, I see musical influences in fashion and I have icons, like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who I post about more than anything. I want to win this computer so that I can continue my blog without the worry of not being able to. I will be able to make it even greater and brighter with a new computer. Please choose me! When your passion is writing and fashion, having this blog means the world and more. I would be so grateful and so happy! My late nights of writing wouldn't be of frusturation and squinting. This would be the greatest gift of all, financially, emotionally and positively. Thank you OnSugar!!!!
