The news come just days after the French fashion house announced that current creative director Sefano Pilati will be leaving the label - he recently presented his final show as part of Paris Fashion Week. Slimane has previously worked for Yves Saint Laurent, creating the menswear line, but this is his first attempt to create a complete womenswear collection. Yves Saint Laurent confirmed the news today, stating that Hedi will also continue to work on his photography career.
