As weird as this may sound, I wanted to be part of the Addams Family so badly when I was younger. I was obsessed with braiding my hair in long braids, dressing like Wednesday Addams for every Halloween, wanting to wear black though my mother told me ladies did not wear black unless we were going to a funeral, and for wanting nothing more to decapitate all my dolls to make pretty funeral boxes. Yes, I was an odd child but my love for black clothing, Victorian inspired artwork, and love of the Addams Family & the Munsters has never stopped. I am inspired by the love of Wednesday, who found good and warmth in everything. I was also a big fan of Pippi Longstocking and Madeline (who wouldn't want to live in an ivy-covered house in Paris, wearing a beret and eating croissants each day?). Who were some of your childhood inspirations?
