Christian Louboutin, when interviewed by WWD, stated:

"I could not help being inspired by English National Ballet… after all… isn’t the classical dancing ballet slipper the ultimate heel? The heel which makes dancers closer than any other women to the sky, closer to heaven!”

Christian Louboutin designed these incredible shoes to auction off along with a number of other fashion items to raise funds for the English National Ballet. The silk Swarovski-encrusted heels are just one lot of many you might be interested in. Designers including Erdem, Giles Deacon, Moschino, Roksanda Ilincic and Julien Macdonald have made ballet-inspired pieces specially for the auction.
