Seriously, I wish she would just fade into oblivion, with her big Dior shades and "designer" ambitions. Her latest attempt to launch into the reality TV world didn’t work out, so someone gave her the brilliant idea of launching a beauty site to prove that Lauren Conrad is anything but bored. The website is full of hair and makeup tips she’s procured over the years (is a side braid that difficult?). The photo and videos shows Conrad, plus her longtime hairstylist, Kristin Ess, and her makeup artist, Amy Nadine. Conrad says that before joining forces with her glam team, she often turned to fashion magazines for beauty help — often unsuccessfully. “Growing up, I never really learned how to do my hair and makeup correctly and the results weren’t always great,” Conrad said in a release. “Our goal with The Beauty Department is to provide girls and young women with a basic how-to of simplified versions of popular trends and styles that they can recreate themselves.” The site covers hair and makeup basics, as well as health-related beauty topics, like sun protection (anybody with a brain knows about the benefits of sun lotion). This girl will seriously plaster her mug across anything these days to make a buck. Will you guys be checking out this website??

The consequences of John Galliano’s public insult will influence his life for long. He has been fired from Christian Dior and is currently waiting for a trial. And yesterday it was reported that the designer was dismissed from his position at John Galliano label.
John Galliano’s board decided it would be hard for the label to keep the designer due to his present reputation. Christian Dior, which owns 91 percent of the Galliano house, has been offered to sell the company. They have received several expressions of interest from Italian licensing partner Ittierre, a Chinese group and a firm from the Middle East. But so far the sale of the label is not considered.
John Galliano, the designer, has already completed an “intensive” treatment course at an Arizona rehab center. He is now in extended “aftercare.” It's sad to see someone who is so brilliant in the fashion world come crashing down into a pit of disaster.

Ok. I was Stephanie Tanner in the 90s. Crazy fringed bangs, half-up half-down hairdos complete with puffy scrunchis (with a matching one on wrist) and baggy tshirts, pulled to the side and tied with yes, another scrunchi, over neon pink stirrup pants and jelly flats. I remember going on a field trip with my class in 5th grade and we all had "jobs" in a make-believe town. We got fake paychecks and were allowed to actually purchased stuff from real little "stores". I bought blue mascara, because Seventeen magazine said it'd make the boys like my eyes even more. I was 10. Crimped hair, side ponytails, chokers with ying-yangs and smiley faces, and of course, who could forget all the Lisa Frank stickers stuck on everything you owned. That was my life. Embarassing, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Are you surprised? Recently, the ultimate poll of "Who is the most romantic on-screen couple" of all time was launched and the results weren't surprising! Though they aren't my particular favorite, (cue Celine Dion) the lovely duo of Kate and Leo from the epic "Titanic" won. Runners up were Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh ("Gone with the Wind"), Richard Gere and Julia Roberts ("Pretty Woman"), Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman ("Casablanca") and Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn ("Adam's Rib").
My favorite on-screen couples?
1. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, "The Notebook"
2. Humphrey Bogart & Audrey Hepburn, "Sabrina"
3. Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan, "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail"
4. Mandy Moore & Shane West, "A Walk To Remember"
5. Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr, "An Affair To Remember".

Ok, I'm sure we are going to hear the same old speeches from the Parents Council Of America yacking away at home about how these young girls are role models for their 6 year olds and shouldn't be getting naked. However, this girl is 25 years old and clearly has stepped away from her once goofy Disney image. She has taken on more adult roles and is stepping into the adult side of Hollywood without being trampy or trying to hard (ahem, Miley). I think this photo is beautiful and innocent enough to not hurt her image. Others who stripped down for the Allure photoshoot (May 2011 edition) are Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory, CBS) and Bridget Moyahan. Their photos are seen below. What do you guys think?

Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen are amazing designers and they create really great pieces. That means they do know how to make people look good. If you want personal fashion advice from the twin fashion designers you’re going to have this chance. The girls are launching new website, Stylemint.com, that will give shoppers personal styling advice and fashion tips.
Stylemint.com will be a monthly club where shoppers should register. To get the advice wanted members of the site will do short style quizzes and then receive monthly recommendations based on the quiz.
Mary-Kate Olsen told WWD:
"BeachMint understands how online shopping is evolving and the importance of creating an authentic relationship between designer and customer. With STYLEMINT.COM, Ashley and I have created an online experience reflecting our love of style and allowing us to engage with our customers directly, which is an inspiring new way for us to think and create as designers.”

The woman who once inspired the now-world-known bag has given her personal Hermes Birkin piece to action for good purposes. Along with other stars including Katy Perry, Duffy, Ricky Martin and others Jane Birkin helps to raise funds to support Red Cross disaster relief efforts in Japan by selling her precious possession.
Jane Birkin’s black leather bag is distressed with age, and is very personalised due to stickers and talismans attached to it. Jane said that the bag’s condition is the most precious about the bag. If it were new no one would want to buy it.
She explained:
There’s no fun in a bag if it’s not kicked around, so that it looks as if the cat’s been sitting on it – and it usually has. The cat may even be in it! I always put on stickers and beads and worry beads. You can get them from Greece, Israel, Palestine – from anywhere in the world. I always hang things on my bags because I don’t like them looking like everyone else’s.”

Flirty, Fun and Sexy. Appropriate and comfortable? I don't think so, but the D&G shoe collection is simply beautiful, with the mix of bold and pastels, and the tiny details give them all a sexy feminine touch for the summer.

Annette Carey, a British designer, decided to create a dress from 1,200 biro pens. The dress that is kind of plain and not really very unique in design took 640 hours to make, and is covered with 2,000 crystals. Despite the fact it weighs 8lbs and costs around $16,000 the designer claims it is wearable. She also mentioned that "her latest size-ten creation would be perfect for eccentric popstar Lady Gaga". I don't think it's wild or kooky enough for the singer, but who knows? What do you guys think?

Fergie aka Stacy Ferguson, has never been a girl who wears ordinary clothing, especially on stage. When my cousin asked me if I saw Fergie's dress at the Kids Choice Awards, I had to find a photo to see what the hype was about. And thank God, she didn’t disappoint. The Black Eyed Peas singer wore an interesting mini dress made totally from small Lego bricks – black and bright pieces. This was amazing! Very cute, fun and appropriate for a kids award show.

This dress is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen. It is not just beautiful, it is feminine, exquisite and totally elegant. Taylor Swift looked stunning wearing this Elie Saab creation at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. It looked effortless and she pulled it off so gracefully.

Matthew Williamson who is now working for Bvlgari has created a wonderful collection of handbags for Spring/ Summer 2011 fashion season. He has obviously focused on kaleidoscopic prints and unusual vibrant hues while working on the range. The result is impressive, smart, and quite different from any other handbags that I have seen this season.

Gap has produced three special edition Japan Relief T-Shirts and will be donating all profits from the sale of the T's to GlobalGiving's Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fund.
Sometimes these initiatives can seem like self-promotion rather than charity but I think the fact that Gap is donating 100% of the sales says a lot, and wearing your tee with pride will help keep the people of Japan on everyone's minds.
Gap Japan Relief Ts are available in three styles for $24.95 each, and you can buy online on the official Gap website.
