Collaboration between Marchesa and Playboy seems ridiculous but reality is so crazy that everything is possible. Marchesa IS designing a new Playboy Bunny costume.

The new Playboy Bunny costume is necessary to mark the Playboy club opening which is to take place on June 4th. However, the first view of the outfit you’ll be able to catch a bit earlier, on May 26th, when it is auctioned to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The new Playboy Bunny outfit won’t provide much coverage (Why should it?) and will generally resemble the iconic costume – signature body-suit, bow-tie and bunny ears. But Marchesa will include its own signature features – draping and embroidery.

Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman told Vogue magazine:

"We’ve taken our inspiration from the original costume but added Marchesa’s signature details, such as hand draping and embroidery, while staying true to the Playboy Bunny’s classic corset silhouette. The result is a modern, yet feminine interpretation of this legendary look.”
