This is very bittersweet. The late, great, fashion designer (and a very influential person for me personally) Alexander McQueen was known to like butterflies. So, the brand’s Spring/ Summer 2011 ad campaign might serve as a tribute to the talented designer. The advert, that is going to be used only for promotional purposes in stores and on the website, is beautiful and… kind of sad. Lindsey Wixson has some mysterious but truly sad look with all those butterflies just deepening the feeling. What do you think?

How exciting for us moms! Following in the footsteps of Gucci, Balenciaga and a few other brands launched collections for children, Jean Paul Gaultier is taking over the baby market. But Jean Paul Gaultier’s designs, that are to hit shelves soon, are the cutest of all I’ve seen before. Having worked in collaboration with Bebe team the designer has created a baby range that includes knitted dungarees, sailor shirts, and bodysuits in shades of red, white, and blue. Jean Paul Gaultier’s baby range is for newborns and kids up to two years old, so the price for the items won’t be too high in comparison to common designer pieces, it will start at just under $100. I am a huge fan of nautical styles for my son Riley, and if anything has an anchor printed on it, I will buy it. These designs are classic, stylish, and appropriate for babies.
