We first saw the Chanel 'Diwali' gold nail polish on the catwalk during the Pre-Fall Paris-Bombay 2012 collection, and now it has finally hit stores in limited quantities. Inspired by India, the gold nail polish is now available exclusively at Chanel's rue Cambon and avenue Montaigne boutiques in Paris. The shade was created by Chanel's makeup creative director Peter Philips who explains his source of inspiration behind the glitzy matt gold shade: "For the Paris-Bombay fashion show, I envisioned this season's color, Le Vernis - Diwali, with flecks of gold in homage to the famous Festival of Lights that takes place every year in India."
