Eyewear has transited from exclusively practical item to the one that has also aesthetic functions. I love wearing my sunglasses. Yves Saint Laurent eyewear collection for Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011 is something you definitely want to see.

Sweden-born Brooklynite Fanny Bostrom is an artist with a whimsical vision all her own. This girl rocks overalls on her wedding day, shares an adorable apartment with her photographer husband William Gentle, and has recently applied her truly original artistry to Folki, a label of eclectic handmade accessories. Folki means people in Romani, or Gypsy, which couldn't be more appropriate considering the collection is the result of a collaboration with Anthropologie. The inspiration of a wanderlust traveller is evident throughout the line's vibrantly colorful beading, chunky crocheted broaches, pom pom trimming, and moroccan-themed scarves (knitted by Fanny's mother—teamwork!). If you're looking for a floral hairpiece, check out Folki's Ode to Frida Kahlo headdress—I am crowned-head over heels for it. While a vagabond life aboard a caravan may not be your thing, you can still get your gypsy on via Folki's bohemian accessories, available October 25th at opening of Anthro's new DC location and online.
Defintely one of the cuter stories I have read this week, Miss Lopez, the singer, actress and questionable clothing designer and her twins are starring in an ad for Gucci’s new children’s line. And, in what might be the most philanthropic story of the morning, the ad celebrates Gucci’s new commitment to the UNICEF Schools for Africa Initiative.
I blogged earlier in the week that kid’s clothes can mean big bucks for luxury brands, and now it looks like Gucci is turning its kid’s clothes into a $1 million donation to help underprivileged African children get the education every child deserves.
And as amazing a gift as that is, I can't get over how cute Max and Emme look decked out from head to toe in mini-me versions of what’sgreat for grown ups. Max’s military inspired shirt is so spot on trend, and who doesn’t love wearing a little purple during the fall?
The ads will start popping up next month, and the kid’s line will make its official debut on Nov. 20.

The Kim Kardashian of today has the same genetic make-up as a bottle of foundation, so I guess she's the authority on how women should spread paint on their faces (not really). Kim tells the Toronto Sun what the WORST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD IS:
"I hate when women wear the wrong foundation color. It might be the worst thing on the planet when they wear their makeup too light."
The starving children of the world need to get over themselves, because this shit is definitely the worst thing ever. The same goes for genocide, war, natural disasters, warts, kitten abuse, Michael Lohan, Baked Lays, unnecessary movie remakes and even CROCS! Yes, non-matching foundation is way worse than all of those combined.
And Kim never has to worry about this tragedy affecting her since she says "good morning" every day with a Maaco body spray and a dip in a vat full of orange lacquer.
A parents' group has taken issue with the racy GQ shoot that shows 'Glee' stars Lea Michelle and Dianna Agron (both 24) stripping in the halls of a high school.
The Parents Television Council released a statement slamming 'Glee' producers, TMZ reports:
"It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on 'Glee' in this way. It borders on pedophilia. By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show's direction. And it isn't good for families."
Ok. So here's my thoughts. The magazine does NOT cater towards kids and even though the hit show is set in a high school, it is not always that age appropriate. Lately, the television show has been showing some adult-entertainment scenarios and I feel like the show isn't squeaky clean for a reason. If you want clean family entertainment, there is the Disney channel. For fun, adult-humored hormonal teens, there is Glee, or the entire CW network. Go pick on Gossip Girl. Check out the photos below..

It's finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leave it to MAC to fete everyone's favorite Disney baddies with a new collection inspired by the villains we love to hate. Launching today, the limited-edition Venomous Villains collection pairs the iconic Cruella De Vil, Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Dr. Facilier with a full range of lipsticks, pigments, blushes, powders, glosses, eyeshadows, and nail polishes in super gorgeous shades. Besides loving the quirky, nostalgic vibe of the line, the characters' facial expressions are killer, giving the products a witty comic relief and making my 6-year-old self ridiculously happy.
Like they've been waiting for a reason to go even deeper, fall's berry and purple lipsticks have evolved, growing increasingly intense with an extra dark vibe. Featuring sooty-purple shades that are deadringers for the '90s rocker look, these new lip colors channel Hole-era Courtney Love yet still feel modern with the super-dark lips in Barneys Co-op's latest catalog. Inspired? Perfect your Eddie Vedder hair flip, bundle up in leather and waffle knit, and sweep on one of these shades.

The Looks: Both Carolina Herrera and Cynthia Rowley piled on chunky clips, making a modern yet elegant statement. The hair at Rodarte was cali-casual with nature-themed barrettes, and Marc Jacobs popped flowers into frizzed-out locks

3. Eye Spy:
The Tip: Derek Lam and Jason Wu made the trend wearable by pairing technicolor eyeshadow hues with bare skin and a glossy pinky-nude lip.

4. Get Cheeky:
The Tip: Try switching out your usual peachy blush for an iridescent golden glow like at Thakoon's spring 2011 show. Match with a golden taupe eyeshadow and glossy lips.

5. Dry Season:
The Look: So much for easy waves! Spring hair was teased and sprayed into styles that were shine-free yet charismatic. From unstructured dreads by Redken at Pamela Love to Vera Wang's sky-high tresses, the dry look has firmly taken hold.

i have a love/hate thing going on with missy rayder.
it's definitely love with this editorial.

Shoe-business trade paper Footwear News held an online contest to determine which of 23 pairs of shoes predetermined by industry authorities to be sexy were the sexiest. Nearly 8,000 people who voted in the online pole decided that these crystal-studded peep-toe mesh pumps by Christian Louboutin were the sexiest shoes of the year. A rep for the Loub himself was at Saks last week to accept the prize and pose for pictures with the shoe in a sexy-preserving glass case. Running-up (haha) pairs of shoes include styles by Giuseppe Zanotti, Dolce & Gabbana, and Jimmy Choo. So what do you think of the winning pair's sexiness? Are they too sexy for your Internet browser or WHAT?
Julia Frakes, writer, fashion-fan, and model, has been shot by Annie Leibovitz to appear in Gap China's first-ever campaign. Wearing her signature mismatch of patterns and styles (Florals and a flag-print? Why not?), Julia might seem like a strange choice for the inaugural launch, considering the bevy of other more-established models with Chinese-appeal. But judging from the amount of coverage that she's been getting in Asian magazines, Frakes isn't only big in Japan, but also in China, Korea, and other Eastern countries. What do you think about the casting choice?
Where's Dr. Evil when you need him? Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the dynamic duo behind Dolce and Gabbana, owe more than $1 billion in unpaid taxes and fines relating to the 2004 sale of Dolce & Gabbana to holding company Gado Sri. The investigation into their tax evasion also will result in the indictment of additional accessors like Domenico's brother Alfonso, a shareholder, and director and board member Cristiana Ruella. $1 billion? Even considering how much some of their clothes cost, they better sell a lot of corset-top leotards to make up that sum.
For years Jessica Simpson and her go-to hairstylist Ken Paves have been as inseparable as shampoo and conditioner.
The duo traveled the world, launched a line of hair extensions and even starred together in the singer/actresses' second short-lived reality show, 'The Price of Beauty.'
Now, it seems Paves may have have washed the blonde beauty out of his layered tresses for good.
The celebrity hairstylist confirmed that he and Simpson have separated professionally. Sort of. When asked by E!online if the two were at split ends he said, "Yes, but no but...." Paves then stammered a bit and offered up the "we've both been busy" excuse.
Meanwhile, a source tells Us Weekly that the pair did indeed breakup because of Simpson's all-consuming focus on new beau, Eric Johnson.
Paves, the anonymous source claims, has tired of Simpson's treatment of him. "Ken is sick of her cycle of dumping friends when she's with a guy. She smothers guys and they dump her. Then she goes back to Ken," the source told the mag.
'Easy A' star Emma Stone dropped by CBS' 'Late Show with David Letterman' this week, and talked about celebrating a deeply meaningful milestone with her mom -- by getting inked on each of their wrists.
"Two years ago....she got diagnosed with breast cancer," said Stone. "And she's out of the woods now, which is amazing."
The actress also told Letterman, "We've never gotten tattoos before, and probably never will again."
She's certainly unlikely to find a more famous tattoo designer: none other than Paul McCartney provided a custom sketch to Stone and her mother, based on one of the Beatles' classic hit singles.
"My mom's favorite song is 'Blackbird,' and it's my favorite song as well," she explained on the show. "I wrote a letter to Paul McCartney asking him if he would draw two little bird feet, because he wrote the song. And yesterday, he sent them to me." Totally jealous. Love my Beatles

Aw. I loved her. Barbara Billingsley, 94 (wow) passed away today at her home. RIP Mrs. Cleaver. You were THE best tv mom ever!
Disney’s Hawaii DVC Hotel being built on island of Oahu near Ko Olina. The resort is a lot bigger than the models indicated it would be.
Before I get on with this post, let’s get one thing straight. I in no way like Miley’s style. I may sing Party in the USA at the top of my lungs when I’m driving (and have recently added 7 things to my itunes library) but I’m generally not a fan of the girl.
Anyway, what I am a fan of in this picture is her TDF sunglasses. After much research I found out that they’re part of the newest collection of aviator’s from Ray Ban called the Road Spirit–and of course, I had to have them.
My philosophy on sunglasses is the same as it is on shoes…once in a while, it’s ok to splurge on a really nice pair.
I was fully ready to spend the $199 {gulp} on these when I decided to do a quick search online and I found them for $139 at ShadesDaddy.com–that’s $60 off the retail price! I was freaking out because I never find the glasses I actually want on sale. I find last years styles and the colors no one bought, but here were the exact pair I had seen at Solstice marked down almost 30% on their site!!
If your in need of new suglasses, check out the website above. They have many, many pairs on sale that are great all year round!
